Define key messaging and campaign concepts for 2019/20 lettings period
Unite Students, the UK’s largest manager and developer of purpose-built student accommodation, approached us to develop a brand identity to launch their new venture. Conker is a new student lettings service designed to improve the experience of shared homes between private landlords and student tenants.
Whilst Unite Students holds significant brand awareness across the UK, Conker was a young brand that required definition in order to appeal to both students and landlords and differentiate themselves from the competition: the traditional letting agents.
What we did
We developed a new brand identity with a distinctive and playful marque matched with a bright, impactful colour palette. This delivered an extensive and flexible visual language that could be used in countless ways across both digital and print platforms. This future proofed the brand, providing great opportunities to communicate to the landlord and student audiences in engaging ways.
The brand treatment also lent itself to a library of eye catching vector illustrations to accompany their warm and personable tone of voice. Launching in a handful of key university cities, we introduced a suite of city specific landmarks, used to tailor brand communications within each city.
The brand was rolled out across key touch points within a tight timeframe, including the Conker website, which we designed in collaboration with Conkers’ web agency. Other roll-out items included event collateral, explainer animation, social assets, email and direct mail.
