The 2015 global climate change negotiations in Paris have been groundbreaking in recognising the important role that businesses must play in meeting greenhouse gas reduction targets.
We were appointed by the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA) to create a video raising awareness of the number of leading businesses who offset carbon emissions and as a catalyst for other businesses to follow suit.
To create enthusiasm around carbon offsetting and the importance it plays in tackling climate change, we collated videos supplied by nine organisations, including Aviva, Sky, Fuji Xerox and DPD, who joined the UN’s Christiana Figueres to explain why offset strategies make good business sense, the challenges and opportunities their approach has created, and why they believe this has made a difference. We ensured their key points stood out through careful editing, the use of pull quotes and engaging vector illustrations.
The video, which was launched at the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, communicates clearly and succinctly that offsetting carbon emissions is a responsible business practice, carried out by proactive organisations across the globe who see business value from this activity.
