We're happy to welcome Chelle, a delightful addition to our design team. We’ve all been going into overdrive practising some of our favourite Scottish lingo (muRRRRRder?) and hope to sound as good as she does soon! Over and oot!

When was the last time you bought yourself (if you’re male), your dad or granddad a bottle of Old Spice? Back in the late 80s, maybe even the early 90s? Old Spice has been around for years. In fact, I think even Pirates wore the stuff (Ok, so it’s been around since 1934, but I think we can all agree that the Old Spice product line was most definitely known as a very traditional and relatively “out of date” type of brand.)

Last year, Old Spice has evolved into the digital age. With an ruthless media campaign and excellent Twitter and Facebook presence, this is not the same Old Spice that dad or even granddad once wore. Today, the Old Spice ad has over 34 million views on YouTube. On Twitter nearly 139,000 people follow @OldSpice, and more than 1,556,000 have checked “like” to connect with the Old Spice Guy.

Now, if you haven’t already seen the brilliance which is Old Spices’ ad entitled “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like”, I have taken the liberty of including this it here.

This reinvention of Old Spices’ image is a mark of pure genius. Old Spice has so successfully re-positioned itself in market that the Old Spice body wash sales to increase by 107%!

24 hour business launch - one year on!

4:52 PM, 04 Aug 2011 - Posted by Workbrands In Stitches

Almost a year ago to the day we worked in partnership with Working Links on a project to launch a new business for a local, long term unemployed man. Over a 24 hour period in the very public Colston Hall, we were responsible for the branding, marketing materials and website design for the launch of Vaughan Harrisons tailoring service ‘In Stitches’.

12 months on and what many described as a bit of free publicity for those involved has been a huge success. Vaughan’s business has grown from strength to strength and he has had to move to larger premises, take on staff and has even partnered up with a leading bridal gown designer in Weston.

We’re still very proud to have been involved in this great scheme and to have helped with this new venture. Needless to say – if you ever find yourself in need of a good tailor in the South West, Vaughan is definitely your man!
